Gunning Dental has provided NHS care to the community of Annan for decades. Unfortunately we are unable to accept any more adult patients on to our NHS list. The majority of our NHS patients are seen by our Dental Vocational Trainees under the supervision of Mr Andrew Gunning and Miss Jayne Grunwell. They are also supported by our Dental Hygienist/Therapists. We continue to adapt our practice and model of care to reflect the challenges that NHS dentistry faces and strive to maintain an excellent level of care for all our patients.
NHS Patients
Unfortunately, we are not currently accepting new adult NHS patients. We are exceptionally busy with our current patient list.
We are pleased to welcome new NHS patients under the age of 18.
Over the past two years, we have invested in developing and expanding our children’s dental service, including dedicated Kids’ Days, regular Childsmile clinics and preventative programmes. This has increased our capacity to care for more children and teenagers in a supportive, child-friendly environment.
Our dentists are supported by two qualified dental hygiene therapists, allowing us to provide timely treatment and preventative care while maintaining a positive experience for young patients.
We also offer NHS orthodontic assessment and treatment for suitable patients who are registered with our practice. This service is provided by our dentist, Jayne Grunwell, who has a special interest in orthodontics.
Our aim is to help children and teens feel comfortable, confident and supported in maintaining lifelong oral health.
